After breakfast at our hotel, we begin our city tour. Following our departure from the hotel, we start our tour of Osaka, considered the gourmet food capital of Japan and the country's third-largest city. The name Osaka literally means "Big Hill" or "Great Slope." Our city tour of Osaka begins with Osaka Castle, built in the 16th century and one of the finest examples of Japanese architecture. It is known that an average of 100,000 workers were involved in the construction of the castle, which was commissioned by "Toyotomi Hideyoshi," who unified Japan in the 16th century. After Osaka Castle, we visit Dotonbori, Osaka's popular food district. We experience the lively atmosphere of Dotonbori with its iconic neon signs, street food, and shopping venues. After free time in the city, we continue our tour to the ancient city of Nara. Nara was the imperial capital of Japan (710) and is home to the largest and oldest temples. First, we visit Todaiji Temple, the world's largest wooden structure, which houses one of Japan's largest bronze Buddha statues (Daibutsu). Then, we visit the sacred deer in Nara Park, messengers of the gods, which do not flee from humans and can be fed with crackers sold nearby. You will have a wonderful time with these deer. On the path to the shrine, decorated with Torii gates and statues of foxes, believed to be messengers of the god Inari, you will see Japan's ancient roots. Passing through the massive Kaminarimon (Thunder Gate), you can buy gifts for your loved ones and try local street flavors on the authentic Nakamise Street, Japan's first open-air mall with over 70 shops. Afterwards, we continue to Ginza, Japan's luxury shopping center and perhaps one of the most famous streets in the world. After the Great Kanto Earthquake, Ginza, which was formerly Japan's silver mint until 1800, transformed into a luxury shopping center; its name comes from the combination of the kanji characters for "silver (gin)" and "place (za)."
